During this tour led by a professional guide we´ll visit the cradle city of Portugal. Guimarães is one of the oldest cities of the country and its historic centre is considered World Heritage by UNESCO. In this city will have the opportunity to visit, among other monuments, the Castle, dating from the 10th century, and the Palácio dos Duques de Bragança (Duques Palace of Bragança). Built in the 15th century it was the residence of the royal family. You'll also have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the historic centre and listen to a little more of its secrets and tales. Guimarães is also scenery to beautiful buildings and landmarks, such as the Padrão do Salado, built in the 16th century when Alfonso IV was king. After some free time and proceeding the visit, there will still be time for a stop at the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Penha, designed by the architect Marques da Silva in the first half of the 20th century.
